Terms of use

Short version: Keystone is a website that helps you use a smart contract on Arc. Keystone never holds your money. Every transaction is between your wallet and the contract, and it can’t be undone. Coins are risky. Only use money you can afford to lose.

1. What Keystone is

Keystone is a website (“the site”) that lets people pitch coins, take equal seats in pitches, and launch coins on Argus when every seat fills. It does this by talking to the Keystone smart contract on Arc (“the contract”). The site is only an interface. It does not hold, control or have access to your wallet, your USDC or your coins.

2. Keystone, Argus and Arc are separate

Keystone is an independent project. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Argus, Arc or Circle. Coins launched through Keystone are created on Argus and follow Argus’ own rules, fees and contracts, which Keystone does not control.

3. Who can use Keystone

You must be at least 18 and legally allowed to use crypto services where you live. You may not use Keystone if you are on a sanctions list or in a country or region where using it is against the law. You are responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including tax laws.

4. Your wallet and your transactions

5. How pitches work

6. Fees

When a pitch launches, a flat Keystone fee of 1 USDC is taken from the pooled USDC. It is shown on every pitch page before you take a seat. After launch, trading on Argus has its own fees and the buy and sell tax the pitcher chose. Fees can change, so always check the pitch page.

7. Pitch content

Pitchers are responsible for what they publish, including names, tickers, pictures, descriptions and links. Don’t publish anything illegal, misleading, hateful, infringing, or that pretends to be someone else. Pitches live on the blockchain, so Keystone cannot delete them, but Keystone may hide any pitch from the site at any time, for any reason.

Anyone can copy a coin’s name, ticker or picture. Always check the contract address before you trade.

8. No advice

Nothing on the site is financial, investment, legal or tax advice. Keystone does not recommend or vouch for any pitch or coin. Decide for yourself, and get professional advice if you need it.

9. Risks

Using Keystone and holding coins carries serious risk, including losing everything you put in. Please read the risk notice.

10. No guarantees

The site and the contract are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. Keystone does not promise that the site will always work, that it is free of errors, or that the contract, Argus or Arc will work as expected.

11. Limit of responsibility

As far as the law allows, Keystone and the people behind it are not responsible for any loss or damage from using the site, the contract, Argus, Arc or any coin, including lost funds, lost profits, bugs, hacks, network problems, or the actions of other people.

12. Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
